Fred Ullrich

Fred Ullrich  retired from Fermilab in Chicago as manager of Visual Media Services. It is an internationally renown Particle Physics Laboratory. There, Fred used photography and video production to visually  document some of the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments for nearly three decades. In 1995 Fred standardized his working methods to large format film in order to achieve the highest quality in print making possible. Fred is still committed to the advantages of  large format film. He now lives with his wife in downtown Phoenix where he continues to establish his fine art photographic practice and commercial editorial accounts as well as volunteering in community building art organizations.

Currently Fred's photo projects include the exploration of interior and exterior spaces of downtown Phoenix including  the older mid-century architecture blended with todays new efforts . He is also working on a series of images expressing the diversity of the southwest landscape.
